It’s hard to believe that we’ve already passed the first quarter of 2014. We say it every year, but where does that time go?
Overall, the Washington county single-family home sales fared well in March.
There was a 41% increase in the number of homes sold in March over February (82 vs. 58).
The average sale price in March, on the other hand, saw about a 15% decrease over February, going from $229,474 to $194,944.
And finally, the average days on market…we saw a nice decrease there going from 158 in February to 135 last month. Looks like homes are starting to move a little faster again.
We’re just beginning the spring housing season — that time of year when more houses come on the market and more buyers get out looking. Here’s hoping the 2nd quarter of 2014 shows continued and consistent improvement.
