Summer Events in Ozaukee County Wisconsin
It’s sum sum SUMMER time in Ozaukee County! So, how do we celebrate these sizzling summer days and warm summer nights in this great part of Wisconsin? Like this:
Shrek the Musical plays July 25 – 28 at the Port Summer Theatre. Tickets are $10 for all at the door or can be purchased in advance from cast members for $9 for adults and seniors and $7 for children. This is the classical story by Dreamworks and you won’t want to miss it on stage. Find this event on Facebook.
August 11 is Bluegrass at the Village. The stage is set at the historic Cedarburg Depot at Ozaukee County’s Pioneer Village. Five bands will play throughout the afternoon and the Henhouse Prowlers will end the show with a bang from 4:30 – 6:00. Gates open at 11:30 and tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and students and $5 for kiddies under six years of age. As always, members are free. There will be tons of food and beer and wine in the beer tent. There will also be raffles so bring a few extra bucks. Horses for Heroes is August 24. This is an annual event hosted by Appy Orse Acres. The Willow Hill Riding Club sponsors and runs this free event that is provided for military members, firefighters, police officers and their families to honor and appreciate those who risk their lives for others. Heroes can enjoy horseback riding, food and fun activities for all ages. Find more detailed information here.
